Leoprime Kid 2.5mg Tablet helps treat and prevent the recurrence of malaria in children. It is usually given in combination with other antimalarial medicines. It works by killing the malaria-causing parasites and stops the infection from spreading.Give Leoprime Kid 2.5mg Tablet to your child by mouth, preferably with food, to reduce the chance of an upset stomach. The dose depends on your childs weight and the type of malaria-causing parasite. Give Leoprime Kid 2.5mg Tablet regularly, at about the same time each day, for as long as your doctor tells you to, even if your child seems well. Stopping it early can result in treatment failure and increase the side effects too. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking Leoprime Kid 2.5mg Tablet, help the child calm down and repeat the same dose. However, if its already time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not double up the dose to make for the missed one.Leoprime Kid 2.5mg Tablet may cause some minor and temporary side effects in some children. These may include nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, dizziness, and skin rash. These side effects usually go away once your childs body adapts to the medicine. However, in case they persist or start bothering your child, consult your childs doctor without any delay.Inform the doctor of your childs entire medical history, including any previous episodes of allergy, G-6-PD deficiency, blood problems, heart problems, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction.
