Joyclav 1.2gm Injection is a penicillin-type of antibiotic that helps your body fight infections caused by bacteria. What if you miss a dose?
If you miss a dose of Joyclav 1.2gm Injection, get the injection as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

- In Prophylaxis of surgery associated Bacterial infections Joyclav 1.2gm Injection contains two different medicines, Amoxycillin and Clavulanic Acid, that work together to kill the bacteria that cause infections. Amoxycillin works by stopping the growth of bacteria. Clavulanic Acid reduces resistance and enhances the activity of Amoxycillin against bacteria. This combination medicine can be used in the prophylaxis of surgery associated bacterial infections such as gastrointestinal tract, pelvic cavity, head and neck, biliary tract surgery. It usually makes you feel better within a few days, but you should continue taking it as prescribed even when you feel better to make sure that all bacteria are killed and do not become resistant.
