About Voranigo 40mg Tablet

Voranigo 40 mg Tablet contains vorasidenib, an orally active, brain-penetrant dual IDH1 and IDH2 enzyme inhibitor indicated for adult and pediatric patients aged 12 and older with surgical Grade 2 IDH-mutant astrocytoma or oligodendroglioma. By directly targeting mutant enzyme signaling, it suppresses the accumulation of the oncometabolite 2-hydroxyglutarate (2-HG), thereby slowing tumor growth and deferring more aggressive interventions such as chemotherapy or radiation. The standard adult regimen is 40 mg taken once daily with or without food, swallowed whole at roughly the same time each day without chewing or crushing. Because Voranigo frequently causes hepatotoxicity with elevated ALT and AST levels, regular monitoring of liver function tests is mandatory prior to and throughout treatment. Patients should report persistent fatigue, musculoskeletal pain, nausea, or headaches to their oncology team, disclose all concurrent medications due to CYP enzyme interactions, utilize non-hormonal contraception during therapy and for 3 months post-treatment, and avoid breastfeeding throughout therapy and for at least 2 months after the final dose.
