Stibanate 100mg Injection is an antibiotic. It is used in the treatment of kala-azar (a parasitic disease spread by the bite of infected sand flies). It inhibits the growth of the parasite and kills it, thus relieving your infection.Stibanate 100mg Injection is given as an injection into a vein (intravenous) or muscle (intramuscular). Your doctor will decide which one is best for you. It is administered by a healthcare professional. Kindly do not self-administer. Avoid skipping any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better.Some people may experience vomiting, headache, nausea, diarrhea, abdominal pain, pain in the muscle and joints, and tiredness as the side effects of this medicine. Inform your doctor if you have been treated for kala-azar earlier or have sores inyour mouth, nose, or throat.
