It prevents the breakdown of blood clots to control excessive bleeding during periods. It also blocks the production of certain chemical messengers that cause pain and inflammation.You can take Mefapt TX 500mg/250mg Tablet at any time of day, with food, but it is best to take it at the same time each day. It should be taken on first day of the periods to get the most benefit. Keep taking it for as long as advised by your doctor. If you miss a dose of Mefapt TX 500mg/250mg Tablet, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
