Erytop Gel is an antibiotic that fights bacteria. It is used to treat acne, which appears as spots or pimples on your face, chest, or back. This medicine works by attacking the bacteria that cause these pimples.Erytop Gel works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This helps to improve your symptoms and cure the underlying infection. It may be taken with or without food, but it should be used regularly at evenly spaced intervals as per the schedule prescribed by your doctor. Taking it at the same time every day will help you to remember to take it. Your doctor will decide the correct dose for you. Do not skip any doses and finish the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Stopping the medicine too early may lead to the infection returning or worsening.The most common side effects of this medicine include stomach pain, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. These are usually mild but let your doctor know if they bother you or do not go away.Before using it, you should tell your doctor if you have any liver or kidney problems, if you have any problems with your bowels (intestines) or if you have ever had bloody diarrhea caused by taking antibiotics. This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Clean and dry the affected area and apply the gel. Wash your hands after applying, unless hands are the affected area.
If you miss a dose of Erytop Gel, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
