Eromed Syrup is an antibiotic medicine that helps treat bacterial infections of the eye, ear, nose, throat, lungs, teeth, skin, and urinary tract. Also given as an alternative therapy to penicillin allergy, Eromed Syrup may help treat certain specific infections such as pertussis (whooping cough) and diphtheria.Prefer giving Eromed Syrup on an empty stomach (either 1 hour before or 2 hours after food) as that will enhance the medicines absorption. However, if stomach upset occurs, give it with a small amount of food. Eromed Syrup is usually given four times a day. Since the dose depends upon the type of infection, its severity, and your childs age and body weight, make sure to stick to the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor.The usual duration of the treatment is 5 to 10 days, depending upon infection severity and how well your child responds to the treatment. Ensure that your child completes the full prescribed course of the medicine as stopping it abruptly may worsen your childs condition or increase the risk of reinfection. In case your child vomits within 30 minutes of taking this medicine, help your child calm down and then give the same dose again.This medicine may have some mild side effects. including nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. These side effects should recede on their own within a few days. However, in case these effects persist or become bothersome for your child, consult your childs doctor without any delay.Inform your childs doctor if your child has a history of allergies, heart problems, liver impairment, or kidney malfunction. Knowing the childs medical history is critical for dose alterations and for planning your childs overall treatment.

Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Eromed Syrup is to be taken empty stomach.
Do not panic. Unless your childs doctor has advised a specific regime for your child, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. But, if it is nearly time for the next dose, just give the upcoming dose at the right time. Do not double the dose.
