Distaclor Drop is a medicine that helps treat a wide range of bacterial infections in children. These may include infections of the ear, eyes, nose, throat, lungs, skin, and urinary tract. It works by stopping the multiplication of infection-causing bacteria thereby preventing the infection from spreading.To ensure maximum absorption, give Distaclor Drop an hour before or two hours after meals. In case your child develops a stomach upset, it is better to give it with meals. Give it as per the dose, time, and way prescribed by the doctor as these depend upon the type and severity of the infection. If your child vomits within 30 minutes of the intake, give the same dose again, but do not double dose if it is the time for the next dose.Some temporary side effects of this medicine include vomiting, diarrhea, nausea, abdominal pain, and mild skin rash. If your child develops these side effects, they should go away on their own. In case these side effects dont subside on their own or become bothersome for your child, report to the doctor without any delay.Let the doctor know if your child has ever had any previous episodes of allergy, heart problem, blood disorder, birth defects, airway obstruction, lung anomaly, gastrointestinal problem, skin disorder, liver impairment, and kidney malfunction. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Measure it with a measuring cup and take it by mouth. Shake well before use. Distaclor Drop may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
Unless your childs doctor has advised otherwise, you can give the missed dose as soon as you remember. In case it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose. Do not give a double dose to catch up and follow the prescribed dosing schedule.
