Artivil Plus 40 mg/120 mg Tablet DT is used for the treatment of malaria in both children and adults. It contains two medicines both of which belong to a group of medicines called antimalarials. However, it is not used to prevent malaria or to treat severe/complicated malaria (when the brain, lungs, or kidneys are affected).Artivil Plus 40 mg/120 mg Tablet DT works by killing the malaria-causing parasites thereby preventing further spread of the infection. It should be taken with food as this will help your body better absorb the medicine. Take it in the dose and duration advised by your doctor. Do not take more than the recommended dose, as this may have harmful effects on your body. Complete the full course of treatment to make sure the infection is treated completely.Headache, loss of appetite, weakness, joint pain, or muscle pain are some of the common side effects associated with this medicine. Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Dissolve it in a glass of water before taking it. Artivil Plus 40 mg/120 mg Tablet DT is to be taken with food.
If you miss a dose of Artivil Plus 40 mg/120 mg Tablet DT, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.
